• 1. Power on: Short press the power button to turn on the instrument. After full LCD display, the model information will be displayed on the screen (car indicator appears in car mode, no indicator appears in user mode), then follow the measurement interface.
• 2. Select mode: Long press mode button measurement interface to switch car/user mode
• 3. Car mode: Car mode can be used without calibration, which can measure the layer thickness of three substrate materials-iron, aluminum and zinc, suitable for measuring the layer thickness of cars.
• 4. User mode: User mode requires calibration before use, which can measure the coating thickness of the substrate material for calibration.
• 5. Auto power off: The instrument will automatically power off in two minutes without measurement, or in five minutes after measurement.
• Coating thickness measurement:
• 1.Press the power button in the air to turn on the instrument, after the full LCD screen follows a BI sound, which means the measurement state begins. Each time it is turned on, a single measurement is considered.
• 2. Lightly press the probe on the coated metal substrate, the instrument will make two beeps of the BI-BI, with the LCD display showing the measured value of the coating thickness.
• 3. Press the MODE button to select the measurement way. There are three measurement ways to choose: single measurement, continuous measurement, difference value measurement.
• 4. Single measurement means one data at a time. Continuous measurement means that as long as the probe does not leave the substrate surface, the instrument will continue to measure. Difference value measurement means the difference value between this time and the last measurement time.
• 5. Press the unit button to choose the unit. There are metric unit (mm) and imperial unit (mil) to choose from.
• 6. If you power on the instrument on the metal substrate, it will show ERR(error) after full screen LCD display, then the instrument will power off due to wrong start way
