I finally pulled the trigger and ordered this one after doing a ton of research and wanting a Dehydrator for a long time. Ill primarily use it to make jerky during hunting season this fall but wanted to test it out with some fruit. From a construction standpoint I picked this one for the size and look. I like the black color and clear front to keep an eye on the food. Looks very nice on my counter.The instruction booklet is very easy to follow and I was sure to follow the setup instructions that called for a 30 minute cycle before using with food. The book also has instructions for different types of food but I found that the times were not long enough though I may have cut the fruit too thick. I assume it will take some trial and error before I get the right formula but I did see some online tutorials that call for much longer cook times. Ill also be looking for a cleaning tool to help get off some of the fruit that stuck to the rack.
