not for matted hair

bought this to cut through the matted hair that happens on my labradors back hips hair is very thick and hard to get through with the clippers but made a little progress in removing but not as much as i would like i think the clippers would be ok for cutting fine hair and grooming dogs as they seem strong enough usually labs are not trimmed but though this might do a better job than trying to brush through the hair to remove it
