The Dehydrator is exactly as advertised. It came pretty quick for a prime member. Everything functions as described and is so easy a kid could do it. Works great! The book that comes with it is all you need. You can go online also and get free recepies for jerky, etc. I use it to make dog treats, whole lot cheaper than buying them at the store! I highly recommend this model for anyone that loves jerky!

This dehydrator is Amazing!!! Easy to move being so light. Made beef jerky with it done in 4 hours. Also made dried fruit. Love the fact it turns off when done. I'm busy chasing kids around and dont have time to check it. The only downside it the door make sure it is closed all the way. It kinda catches on the side. Love the window you can see clear thru. So you dont have to open like the round ones.

Previously bought a round food dehydrator is not very satisfied, because each layer needs to be picked up! Well like this type of food dehydrator, open the door and pull it straight out, it feels relaxed and does not occupy the position! The most exciting thing is that we can not only do dried fruit, dried meat, but also can dry some flowers! Temperature time can be set, too easy! Nature is higher than the price! I love it so I'm so happy after I receive it!

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered this one after doing a ton of research and wanting a Dehydrator for a long time. I'll primarily use it to make jerky during hunting season this fall, but wanted to test it out with some fruit. From a construction standpoint I picked this one for the size and look. I like the black color and clear front to keep an eye on the food. Looks very nice on my counter. The instruction booklet is very easy to follow and I was sure to follow the setup instructions that called for a 30 minute cycle before using with food. The book also has instructions for different types of food, but I found that the times were not long enough (though I may have cut the fruit too thick). I assume it will take some trial and error before I get the right formula, but I did see some online tutorials that call for much longer cook times. I'll also be looking for a cleaning tool to help get off some of the fruit that stuck to the rack.
